Napa Valley Wineries

Napa Valley is home to some of the most beautiful wineries in the world. The colors, smells, and overwhelming beauty of the countryside provide Napa with over 4.5 million visitors per year. But the main source of visitors are enticed, not by the views, but by the wineries. Napa Valley contains some of the oldest wineries in California, and our experienced tour drivers are able to choose the best to visit depending on time, distance and financial constraints.

According to our tour drivers, the most popular wineries to visit are as follows.

Castello Di Amorosa

The Castello Di Amorosa Winery is located near Calistoga and opened to the public in 2007. A firm favorite amongst visitors from all over the globe, mainly because the amazing castle which has been built boasts over 100 rooms on 8 levels, as well as a number of other periodic features including, a moat and drawbridge, defensive tours, a torture room, great hall, knights chamber and church.

Situated beneath the castle are tasting rooms and a barrel cellar where customers have the option to taste and purchase wine which are exclusively sold at the castle.

Charbay

Charbay is an independent family business, operated by Karakasevic family. The winery began distilling in Napa in 1983 and allows visitors to sample their produce. The beautiful country side which surrounds the winery is a big aspect of why it is so popular.

Another feature which has made this winery very popular is the old pieces of machinery which are on show to visitors.

Peju

Peju was founded in 1982 and is a family run winery. The grapes are grown in the Peju vineyard which boasts beautiful views of the countryside. The 50 foot tall tasting room tower allows visitors to relax in comfort and style whilst taking in the sites and sampling the unique wines.

The winery is located a short drive from Napa, towards St Helena, however the breathtaking views which you will experience along the way are just one more reason why you will want to visit this winery.

Mumm Napa

Mumm Napa is home to a vast majority of sparkling wines, the site was founded by Guy Deveaux who determined that the located had just the right amount of cold nights and hot days to produce the required amount of acidity and ripeness for the grapes to be used for their brand of wines

The feedback from our previous customers about this winery has been very high in regards to taste and quality of the samples.

Stag Leap

Warren Winiarski established the Stag’s Leap Wine Sellers in 1972. The winery has been greeted with a number of awards for quality of the highest within the wine market. A blind tasting competition in France saw the Stag’s Leap Winery win international recognition only 4 years after it had been established.

The quality of the wine is also very highly regarded amongst our previous tourists who always begin with, “my friend told me about the Stag’s Leap…” acknowledging the wide spread popularity of the vineyards produce.
